"I love early mornings when it feels like the rest of the world is still fast asleep and you're the only one who's awake. When everything feels like it isn't really real and you kind of forget about all your problems. Because for now it's just you, the world and the sunrise."
Freshly brewed coffee filled the room with a delicious aroma as my friend, Anya, and I pulled open the curtains of our hotel room to let in the light. It was our first morning in the desert and all we wanted to do was spend it in our comfy white robes, listening to our favorite acoustic guitar station on Pandora. The music played softly as we read over our daily newspapers. We opened the patio doors to take in the fresh air and beauty of the view right outside.
Every morning became a routine- a cup of coffee, creative chit chat about our aspirations, and a little music to go along with it. For me, the morning has always been the time when I'm most creative (especially after that first cup of coffee). We decided to capture a few of these moments featuring one of my favorite eyewear brands, Kingsley Rowe.
The owners of this eyewear collection love capturing artists, designers and stylists in their most creative spaces, and as a young entrepreneur, my most creative space is my room. Working from home has been one of the things I enjoy most about owning my own business and I am usually snuggled up in my bed working on writing or content for my brand during the early hours of the day.
With the right atmosphere in the morning you can cultivate a creativeness that lasts you throughout the day. That is just what Anya and I did every single morning during our four-day vacation before venturing out to collaborate on our desert photo shoots. Usually nothing compares to my creative space at home, but the cozy soft hotel bed might of just surpassed it.
