Making Mulled Wine on Your Stovetop
For this recipe you will need:
4 cups apple cider (store bought or opt for homemade)
1 (750-ml) bottle red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
1/4 cup honey
4 cinnamon sticks
1 orange, zested and juiced
4 whole cloves
3 star anise
4 oranges
This recipe is hassle free and will create the yummiest boozy holiday beverage your guests will love! This drink will definitely keep you warm on a cold day. For the recipe, you can follow these quick directions:
In a large stock stockpot, combine the cider, wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, oranges, cloves and star anise.
Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
Pour into mugs, add 1/4 orange slice to each and serve.
